After a long and intense period of study (he took up lessons on the trombone, harmony, and counterpoint at the Academy of Music in Nice), at 14, in a search to expand his ideas on the accordion, he began listening to jazz and heard records by the trumpet player Clifford Brown.

    • 22 Uhr STUDIO: MELANIE HAUPT Melanie Haupt (*1974 Bielefeld ) Kabarettistin, Schauspielerin, Sängerin und Autorin. 2001 wurde sie beim Bundeswettbewerb Gesang in der Sparte Chanson mit dem Ralph-Benatzky-Preis ausgezeichnet und brachte 2002 im Grünen Salon der Berliner Volksbühne ihr Chansonprogramm Ein Glück, zu wahr, um schön zu sein heraus. Nach dem Studium an der Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen ging es zunächst an verschiedene Theater, unter anderem nach Düsseldorf ans Schauspielhaus. Dann wechselte sie ins Kabarett und spielte lange im Kom(m)ödchen-Ensemble. 2012 gehörte sie zum Ensemble der ZDF-heute-show. Als Bühnenpartnerin von Bodo Wartke tourt sie seit Jahren durch den deutschsprachigen Raum. Mit den Frauen an der Steuer ist sie in Deutschland unterwegs. Für dieses Ensemble schrieb sie zusammen mit Eva Martens auch das gleichnamige Stück. Hauptquartier ist ihr erstes Solostück, mit ihm tritt sie regelmäßig an der Berliner Distel auf.
